Children Take up A LOT of space. If you have a nursery (or house) that is a little more on the quaint size like my charming 120 year old house, then storage is an issue! Here are some tips that helped us create storage in our little home!

Use the Walls!
Instead of hanging wall decor, consider hanging fun baskets or shelves to create space. You can use hanging baskets to hold diapers, lotions, wipes, clothes, or precious mementos that you don’t have enough room to display on a shelf.
There are several different designs to choose from! You can choose open shelf, basket or shelves with drawers.
Use the Doors
Use door hangers or organization hanging baskets to utilize door space! You can put clothes, burp clothes, socks, shoes, lotions, wipes, diapers, toys! Whatever you need stored. There are so many styles and size options to choose from that you can select which style fits your little one’s nursery! ***We have these in almost every room in our house! We use it to store towels, lotions and toilet paper in our bathrooms.
Find Furniture That Is Practical
We have two floor to ceiling shelves in our nursery. Instead of using a buffet sized shelf, consider tall pieces of furniture that create more storage. *****Remember to always stabilize your furniture!!!! We used Hangman Products TK400-4 Furniture Anti-Tip Kit to childproof all of our nursery furniture.
You can use taller shelves to create clothes storage, use baskets to store diapers, wipes, clothes, toys, etc. We used a tension rod and hooks to create a clothes hanging area. Create name tags or labels to personalize your shelves and baskets. I used Wood Circles (50pcs) – Unfinished Round Discs(3.9 Inch/10 cm) Blank Wooden Tags Slices Cutouts for DIY Crafts ,Birthday, Game Boards, Decorations painted them black and then personalized them. They are great to keep around the house to make gifts with too!
Create Play Areas
Use the walls, doors or sides of furniture to create play areas.
Paint doors, walls, sides of shelves with chalk paint.
Use toy storage with bins to store toys.
Use Baskets to Hold Toys
Baskets can be moved around, stored on shelves and make clean up (hiding things and clutter!!!!) easier!
These are some of our FAVORITE home baskets!
Great for creating storage and maximizing space!
